Brazilian Football Legend Tinga Becomes a Social Ambassador for KTO

Former professional footballer Tinga joins KTO Brasil as a social ambassador. Tinga will support the brand’s community, collaborations and PR events.

Paulo César Fonseca do Nascimento, more commonly known by his neighbourhood nickname ‘Tinga’, is an ex-professional Brazilian footballer with an exceptional career at domestic and international levels.

Starting off at his local team Gremio, Tinga continued on to play at globally renowned clubs, including Portugal’s Sporting FC, German side Borussia Dortmund, and Kawasaki Frontale in Japan.

He also won multiple trophies in Brazil with his final two clubs; Internacional and Cruzeiro; going on to win the Copa Libertadores and the Gaúcho twice with Internacional, and the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and the Campeonato Mineiro with his final club Cruzeiro.

KTO Group first met Tinga after an invitation to participate in his charity event Paleta Atlântidain, co-created by ex-manager and professional football player, Dunga. The event took place in the Xangri-lá Municipality of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

Tinga commented on his newly appointed role via social media, posting “Happy to be part of the team that also has a social outlook. Good to join so many good people like the KTO team,”.

Andreas Bardun, CEO of KTO, also celebrated the appointment of Tinga on social media commenting “We are so happy at KTO to have such a humble, well-respected superstar join the family. Tinga shares our passion and is the perfect ambassador for our core value “walk in their shoes”

Tinga represents the next level for KTO: assigning a social ambassador that represents the brand’s values, and who also has a strong connection with the community and a desire to help those most in need.
