“KTO brings together two of the biggest Futsal clubs to play alongside brand influencers over two weekends of non-stop action”
KTO continues to sponsor high-quality sports events in Brazil and now looks to Futsal to increase engagement and brand awareness with fans of the sport.
Futsal is an indoor variant of football that’s played 5 a side on hard courts using a heavier ball. With its origins rooted in Latin American culture, the sport is becoming increasingly popular due to its high-paced gameplay and focus on ball control and technique.
Super Clássico KTO starred the renowned Futsal teams and regional rivals, Atlântico and ACBF—two of the biggest clubs not only in Brazil but in the world. Both teams carry the impressive accolade of winning the Intercontinental Futsal Cup, a tournament organized by FIFA which brings the best Futsal teams to compete from across the world.
In the first leg of the Super Clássico KTO, Atlântico came out on top narrowly beating ACBF 3-2. In the second leg, ACBF got revenge by defeating their derby rivals 2-1. As wins were evenly distributed, the teams can both take positives from the experience including some pre-season practice before the start of the Brazilian National League.
Alongside the friendlies, KTO influencers took to the pitch to play alongside the professionals for a 20-minute game. Influencers involved were Choco, Dinho, Rafael Colling, Rodrigo Mendes, Duda Garbi, Vaguinha, Boleiro, Daniel Carvalho and Sandro Sotilli.
